Switzerland Named World's Best Country... Again

Yes, that's right! Once again, Switzerland has been named world's best country according to the the annual Best Country Rankings, which looks at people's perceptions of 80 countries around the world. While I keep saying this country is one very special place, it's nice to have a survey as proof of why Switzerland needs to be on the top of your list. I certainly think it's the best country in the world, and I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks so.

The Best Countries ranking is a joint project between digital news service US News & World Report, marketing company Y&R and the Wharton School, a business school at the University of Pennsylvania.

Switzerland maintained it's position as the number 1 country for the third consecutive year. Other countries on top include Japan at #2, Canada at #3, and Germany at #4, and the United Kingdom at #5.

So why is Switzerland at #1? According to the report, Switzerland excels in many areas including business oriented metrics, providing a high quality of life and being a leader in innovation. Switzerland is also considered a top country in terms of economic stability, access to capital, a strong legal framework and prestige.
